Abstract

Glycyrrhiza glabra-L. Is a perennial herbaceous plant belonging to the family Fabaceae. In his works, Theophrastus called this plant malt root, Scythian grass, Pontic grass. This plant is called in Russian - malt near, in Uzbek - licorice, chuchukmiya, kizilmiya, and in the Autonomous Republic of Karakalpakstan - dandelion. Shirinmiya is very widespread in the European part of the former Soviet Union, Crimea, the Caucasus, Siberia, Asia Minor, Iran, Afghanistan and North Africa.
